plate clarifier

Few types of equipment that help to clean waste water from various sources are plate clarifiers. It might be water from industries over factories, or hospitals outgo and our own homes. Every time we wash the dishes, take a shower or use the sink — dirty water goes downthe drain. It is then piped in large pipes that carry it to a treatment plant. During the treatment process, which takes place at water recovery facilities such as our AquaSeverny and Glubokoe plants, that groundwater is cleaned before it returns to rivers or lakes.

Plate clarifiers are helpful in situations where we need to remove really small dirt particles and materials that our naked eye cannot even see. The stuff floats around in the water which is NOT a good thing if it gets released back into nature, so most wastewater treatment plants make an effort to remove suspended solids from their white (and brown) waters before putting them back out there.

How Plate Clarifiers Help to Remove Suspended Solids

How do Plate clarifiers work Its neat plates are placed on top of one another with little space between the two. As the dirty water passes through, these tiny impurities have nowhere to go and are trapped in those tight spaces. This sludge is crushed over times on the plates. The sludge that accumulates at the bottom of the clarifier can be withdrawn, cleaned and discarded in a safe manner. This is an important process so as to keep the water clean and safe.

Plate clarifiers This is another cost-saving method for treatment plants. If there are too many suspended solids in the water, it can clog pipes and filters. So workers have to go around correcting things that they should not even be working on in the first place. If these get obstructed, the cleaning process slows down and makes purification more difficult.
